My 3-d painting experiment

I get inspiration and ideas from all over the place. A couple of years ago, my niece asked of she could get married in our back yard to which my husband and I happily agreed. It was a lovely small wedding and an event that we will cherish the memory of for a long time. When the wedding was over, there were two rolls of bridal roll left here somehow. It sat in a closet, until one day I looked at it and wondered if I could use it as an art material somehow.

The best thing about Nicaragua

We are on our third trip to Nicaragua and our second to the beautiful old colonial city of Granada. As an artist, Granada is my favorite city thus far for its love and appreciation of art, music and literature. It is lively and colorful and old.

I’ve spent the last few weeks since before Christmas fighting a nasty sinus infection. I’m on my third round of antibiotics and have been spending a lot of time on the couch. I can’t stand being idle for too long and I have a real need for creating things. It’s kind of like eating for me. I have to do it, so I started thinking  about how I might be able to create art when I didn’t have the energy to go into my studio.
